The European Computer Driving License (ECDL)
Founded in 1967 The Irish Computer Society (ICS) administer the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) portfolio of qualifications within Ireland and are the national body for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Professionals in Ireland. In 1997 it set up ECDL Ireland to provide and promote a recognised international standard of computer literacy certificate for people resident in the Republic of Ireland.
